The last 24 hours hold the highest number of deaths recorded since the appearance of Covid-19 in Morocco

3 982 deaths have been recorded since the first appearance of the global pandemic in Morocco, within which 82 have been recorded in the last 24 hours, leaving no other choice than extending the state of emergency 

Casablanca-Settat is still at the head of the diseased regions with 26 deaths, 20 of them are in Casablanca and 6 in El-Jadida. Followed by the Eastern region with 18 deaths, 5 of them in Oujda-Angad, 3 in Berkane, 3 in Jerada, 1 in Driouch and 2 in each of Nador, Taourirt and Figuid. 

Rabat-Sale-Kenitra holds 13 lost lives, 4 in Sale, 3 in Kenitra, 2 in each of Rabat and Sidi Slimane and 1 in each of Skhirate-Temara and Sidi Kacem. In the region of Marrakech-Safi the virus took the lives of 8 patients, 4 of them reside in the favourite destination of global tourists in the country, Marrakech. 1 in each of Kelaat Sraghna, Youssoufia, Essaouira and Rehamna.

Beni Mellal-Khenifra reports 6 deaths, all in Khourigba. Fes-Meknes has 4 deaths including 3 in Taza and 1 in Fez. Souss-Massa lists 3 deaths with 1 death in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha.

Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra shows 2 deaths, all in Laayoune. As for Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, it has 1 death in Ouezzane.

Following these news, Morocco has announced its eighth extension of the state of health emergency since March 19. The head of government said on November 3 that a return to full lockdown is possible if the COVID-19 situation in Morocco gets  » out of hand ».
