By our differences we find each other!

Hassan is a moroccan young man who lives in Ukraine , one day after he was coming back from work and 20 days after he moved from Zaporijia the city where he used to work and study to Kiev in order to work also as a gym coach.

A friend of Hassan’s who came back from Russia called him so that he would join him and drink coffee with his Ukrainian friends.

Hassan with no hesitation said yes and came to the coffee shop and there he met the love of his life Alina, a beautiful Ukrainian woman with black straight hair and gorgeous blue eyes.

She was one of the invited people, once he saw her, he knew that she was the one.

“she was so kind and adorable, but I had a girlfriend back then” he said.

But with Alina he was ready to be committed for life and serious.

Concerning their relationship , it started fortunately  months after they met and changed numbers and social media’s accounts, the luck was playing by their side because Hassan and his ex-girlfriend broke up later for completely other reasons.

They kept dating and meeting each other until the day when Hassan decided to go back to Morocco for some family issues then also to maintain the equivalence of his state engineer diploma, so before that they decided to get married and go live together in Morocco projecting to celebrate their engagement there.

But unfortunately, the plan did not go well because they closed borders 3 days later due to the new Covid-19 restrictions.

“I even bought tickets, sold my car and left my apartment.”

Then the problems knocked their doors, the ones related to racism from some family members from both sides like his aunt’s and her mum that did not accept their commitment for religious and cultural differences.

Due to the fact he was jobless and lost everything else he had, he was obliged to stay in his friend’s house for a moment then he called his parents and told them what was going on and asked them to send him a particular amount of money.

Two weeks passed by, he started looking for a job because Coronavirus did not want to get to an end.

“If I want everything to fall into place, I told myself that while I’m in Kiev I have to find a job “

Surprisingly, he found a job online working with snapchat, he worked for this platform for two months.

Alina and he used to meet each other once in a fortnight during the Coronavirus Crisis.

When things got less tense Ramadan (sacred month when Muslim people fast) passed by, he earned a little bit of money to rent a house along with Alina.

The couple are out for a date

Then the problems with his mother-in-law took place in their love life, she was against their relationship and her being in the same house as a Muslim man.

“she was in some point terrified that her daughter may become a muslim”

On the other hand, her father was so friendly and tolerant, he even asked his daughter to move into his house and that is what she did by the end.

They lived with each other for one month, suddenly she surprised him with some unexpected news: She told him that she is pregnant!

“we didn’t even have enough money to feed ourselves, will we be able to meet our baby’s needs?

He told me that he got lost and afraid , he literally  did not know what to do so he called his mother and told her about everything, seeking her advice she told him it is a gift from god and asked to keep this beautiful news for himself and not share them with his father until he come to his homeland because he is extremely severe and extremist.

Later they had to call Alina’s mother to share the news with her as well , then  she forced them to prepare  a wedding ceremony because she was afraid of people’s judgments.

“Honestly, her mother was so annoying to the point that she forced me to prepare a party and invite family and friends in order to celebrate our commitment but thankfully, I had no financial problems thanks to my current job as a community manager in a multinational company and my friends who spread the tasks with each other to turn my weeding into a great memory”

“Alina was living at the same time a hard moment of her life, she was depressed because of the toxic opinions of people and the pregnancy but we always managed to get out from those situations, our love got bigger overtime”

He explained to me later that her depression was due to what people used to say about their couple and also because she wasn’t expecting her pregnancy.

After some hard moments, they overcome the boundaries that limited them from going farther and the fruit of this battle is a beautiful baby called Adam who was born on the 28 of February 2020.

Now Hassan and Alina are planning to go back to Morocco in the nearest opportunity, he would like to work as an engineer in Kenitra a city in the north of Morocco and be stable with his family where their life together begins and their love story will never end.

Happy baby Adam is getting in the way

Aya Bhilat

My name is Aya Bhilat, an Ilcs student majoring in journalism and communication for my Bachelor's degree. I'm an editor in the school magazine and also a web editor on Dialna.net. I started writing when I was 13 years old by writing short articles about documentaries and TV programs that I used to watch by that time, and sometimes just for fun through expressing myself and talking about the topics that concerned me in that period(sports, international matters, culture, music and environment) One day I decided to share one of my articles with my dad and my philosophy teacher that was amazed with my writing style and gave me golden advice by telling me that I certainly should be a journalist in the future. 2 years after I graduated from high school, I finally followed my teenage dream and the passion that I enjoy doing. And today, I'm very glad and grateful that I belong to our family team and to share my articles with a larger audience.
